>> good morning. i'm meteorologist crystal egger with the weather channel and a look at your seven-day forecast as we track the winter weather moving into the northeast. friday into saturday. so let's start out with that forecast for today. light snow expected across the southern ohio valley. it will be rain, however, into kentucky and parts of tennessee. and then eventually we'll see this track across the northeast coast. any snow looks minor at this point. a one to three inch range from say northern virginia all the way up into boston. temperatures later today will be in the upper 40s. it's not until late in the evening that temperatures start to drop. and of course we have a chance for some snow coming in by saturday. this is where the snow will likely impact the i-95 corridor as this pushes farther east. that's new york up to boston again. looking mostly at your saturday forecast there. and a few snowshowers up around the lakes. looking quiet through the middle of the country. and the southeast starting to dry out. we'll even see the showers dry up across southern florida.
and temperatures will start to come down. so this big trough allows the cold air to stay here across the great lakes and then to seep into parts of the south. and those overnight lows will be below freezing for many a southeastern locations, even down into northern florida we'll be get into the chill. how about your sunday forecast? most of this will be east of the lakes. we'll be drying out. but look how cold it is. new york city only at 27. 26 in boston. 40 in billings and another storm organizing as it comes out of the rockies that. means on monday we're looking at soggy weather and a chance of storms there across the mississippi valley. snow on the northern side. snow moving back into pardons of the ohio valley. and wet weather here on tuesday from the southeast to the mid-atlantic. then look at that big storm coming in wednesday with snow across the inner mountain west. and quieter weather for the east coast. remember you can get the latest forecast week day mornings. wake up with al and steph at 5:30 on the weather channel.

[ female announcer ] going to sleep may be easy, but when you wake up in the middle of the night it can be frustrating. it's hard to turn off and go back to sleep. intermezzo is the first and only prescription sleep aid approved for use as needed in the middle of the night when you can't get back to sleep. it's an effective sleep medicine you don't take before bedtime. take it in bed only when you need it and have at least four hours left for sleep. do not take intermezzo if you have had an allergic reaction to drugs containing zolpidem, such as ambien. allergic reactions such as shortness of breath
